Our Story

Mt. Washington Candle Co. was born from a deep-seated love for the warmth and comfort that a well-crafted candle can bring to a home. I’ve always been drawn to the calming effect of a flickering flame, the way a single scent can transform a space, turning a house into a home.

The idea to create Mt. Washington Candle Co. came to me during one of those quiet moments when I realized how much joy I found in the simple act of lighting a candle. I wanted to share that feeling with others, to create something that could bring light, warmth, and comfort into people's lives. But I knew that if I were going to do this, it had to be done right. I wanted to create candles that weren’t just beautiful, but also environmentally responsible and made with the highest quality ingredients.

I started researching and experimenting, determined to create a product I could be proud of. I chose soy wax for its clean burn and sustainable qualities, and I sourced only the finest clean fragrances, free of harsh chemicals. It was important to me that these candles were eco-friendly and cruelty-free, reflecting my values and commitment to the environment.

The packaging was another key element. I wanted something simple yet elegant, something that could be reused or easily recycled. That’s how I decided on the glass jars, which can be repurposed in countless ways once the candle has burned down.

Every candle I create is a labor of love, a small piece of my passion for bringing a sense of peace and comfort into the world. Through Mt. Washington Candle Co., I hope to share that passion with others, helping them create spaces where they can relax, unwind, and truly feel at home.
